Virtual Student Expectations and Tips

Thank you for choosing We R.I.S.E.™ New York, LLC for your professional learning and career growth in recovery peer work. We are excited to learn with you! To help classes run smoothly and be enjoyable, please read the information below.

Class Expectations & Participation

All classes are held on Zoom.

You must have:

  • A laptop or desktop computer

  • A working microphone

  • A headset or speakers

  • A webcam

 

Cameras must be on at all times. No exceptions.
Phones, tablets, and iPads are not allowed because they do not work well for our training.

Please test your internet and equipment before class. If you have a problem, contact us right away so we can help.

Our classes are very interactive. We use:

  • Chat

  • Breakout rooms

  • Polls

  • Group activities

You must be fully present to earn a certificate. You may not attend class while driving or doing other activities. If staff see that you are not fully engaged, we will contact you to discuss next steps for completing the training.

Zoom Link

Your Zoom link will be emailed 24–72 hours before class, depending on any pre-class reading.

Manuals and Class Materials

CCAR® Courses
Manuals must be purchased separately on Amazon. You must have your manual before Day 1 of class.

All Other Trainings
Materials will be emailed with your Zoom link 24–72 hours before class.
